Prophetic Life Coaching: Finding Purpose Through Faith and the Holy Spirit
Prophetic life coaching blends biblical truth, prophetic insight, and practical goal setting to help individuals discover their God-given purpose. Unlike general life coaching, this approach invites the Holy Spirit to guide the conversation, revealing destiny and breaking through obstacles that hold people back. Whether you feel stuck in your career, relationships, or spiritual walk, prophetic life coaching offers a faith-based path to clarity and transformation. Below we explore what it is, who offers it, and how to choose the right coach for your journey.
What Is Prophetic Life Coaching?
Prophetic life coaching is a specialized form of coaching where the practitioner uses prophetic gifts alongside traditional coaching methods. Each coach defines it a little differently. Neil Vermillion describes his approach as a focus on Identity, Purpose, and Talent, costing $3,600 for twelve 50-minute sessions conducted via email. Anthony Hilder presents Kingdom Coaching as Holy Spirit-led, involving the coach, the client, and the Holy Spirit as a third party, with emphasis on purpose, destination, values, systems, and goals. Amy Wadlington offers prophetic faith-based life coaching for Christian women who want clarity, peace, and confidence in their calling. Bible Journey Ministries combines prophetic coaching with spiritual counseling and deliverance to address trauma, anxiety, depression, and generational curses. What all these approaches share is a belief that God speaks today and that His guidance can be integrated into intentional personal development.
Key Areas Prophetic Life Coaching Addresses
Identity and Purpose
Neil Vermillion’s coaching zeroes in on who you are in Christ and what you were created to do. The twelve-session email program walks clients through exercises that uncover talents and align them with a divine sense of identity. This focus helps people move from confusion to confidence in their calling.
Healing and Deliverance
Bible Journey Ministries takes a therapeutic angle, helping clients find freedom from past trauma, anxiety, depression, and generational curses. The coach holds a Bachelor’s in Biblical Studies, has prophetic mentorship under Prophet Jennifer Eivaz, and ten years of personal study in prophetic ministry. They also work as a clinical mental health counselor intern in Georgia, though life coaching outside Georgia is offered separately.
Breakthrough and Clarity
Amy Wadlington targets Christian women who feel stuck and seek breakthrough. She is a certified Christian life coach who was called as a Prophet in 2015. Her sessions aim to bring peace and confidence into a woman’s calling, using Holy Spirit-led strategy to remove obstacles.
Goals and Systems
Anthony Hilder’s Kingdom Coaching emphasizes not just spiritual direction but also practical systems and goals. By involving the Holy Spirit as an active partner, the coach helps clients set measurable steps toward their destiny while remaining open to divine course corrections.
How Prophetic Life Coaching Works
Most prophetic life coaching sessions involve prayer, listening for the Holy Spirit’s guidance, and asking questions that uncover deep beliefs. The delivery method varies. Neil Vermillion uses email for all twelve sessions, sending text, audio, and video content. Samantha Wiraatmaja offers 60-minute prophetic coaching sessions for SGD$100, but only accepts applicants from Singapore. Amy Wadlington provides one-on-one coaching and also produces a podcast. Bible Journey Ministries appears to offer sessions through Fiverr. Some coaches work by phone or video call, while others meet in person. Because the Holy Spirit is considered the true guide, sessions often feel more fluid than secular coaching, with time given to prayer and prophecy.

What to Look for in a Prophetic Life Coach
Because prophetic life coaching is not a regulated profession, credentials vary widely. Doug Addison has been a certified life coach and prophetic strategist since 2008, giving him a recognized coaching certification alongside prophetic ministry. Bible Journey Ministries’ coach holds a Bachelor’s in Biblical Studies and has formal prophetic mentorship. Others may have life coach certification, ordination, or simply a proven track record in prophetic ministry. When choosing a coach, ask about their training, how they integrate the Holy Spirit into sessions, and whether they have experience with your specific needs. Since some providers, like Bible Journey Ministries, include mental health credentials but limit clinical work to one state, it is wise to clarify the scope of services. Many coaches also offer a free initial call to help you discern if the fit is right.
Cost and Commitment
Pricing for prophetic life coaching varies. Neil Vermillion charges a flat fee of $3,600 for twelve sessions, payable in advance and non-refundable. Samantha Wiraatmaja offers a per-session rate of SGD$100 for a 60-minute session. Most other coaches do not list their rates publicly, so you will need to request pricing. The length of the coaching relationship also differs. Some coaches offer a fixed number of sessions, while others work on a month-to-month basis. Before committing, confirm the total cost, cancellation policy, and whether sessions are refundable. Because prophetic coaching involves spiritual vulnerability, it is important to feel comfortable with the coach’s style and expectations.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is prophetic life coaching the same as Christian counseling?
No. Christian counseling typically addresses mental health issues and may be licensed by the state. Prophetic life coaching focuses on destiny, purpose, and spiritual breakthrough, often without clinical credentials. Bible Journey Ministries offers both, but their clinical services are limited to Georgia. Always check a provider’s qualifications before seeking help for trauma or mental health conditions.
How do I know if a prophetic life coach is credible?
Ask about their training, years of experience, and any certifications. Some coaches, like Doug Addison, have been certified since 2008. Others may have prophetic mentorship or degrees in biblical studies. Because no central governing body exists, request references or read testimonials. A trustworthy coach will be transparent about their background and methods.
Can prophetic life coaching help with anxiety or depression?
Some prophetic life coaches address anxiety and depression as part of their ministry. Bible Journey Ministries explicitly focuses on freedom from anxiety and depression. However, if you have a diagnosed mental health condition, you should consult a licensed counselor. Prophetic coaching can complement professional treatment but should not replace it.
How many sessions does prophetic life coaching typically take?
The number of sessions varies by coach and client need. Neil Vermillion offers twelve sessions in a fixed program. Other coaches may work session by session or recommend a three-to-six-month commitment. Ask your coach for a recommended duration during the initial consultation.
Prophetic life coaching offers a unique way to align your life with God’s voice, combining prayerful listening with actionable steps. By understanding the different approaches, costs, and qualifications, you can choose a coach who will walk with you toward greater purpose and breakthrough. Whether you are seeking clarity in your calling or freedom from past wounds, the Holy Spirit is ready to guide the process through a trusted prophetic coach.
